BUSH LIED, BUSH SPIED and BUSH TORTURED, an Overview

The Bush Trilogy of “crimes” that serve as his impeachment charges can be viewed in several
cultural, legal and here, political ways. The three: Bush Lied, Bush Spied and Bush Tortured.
(The failure of FEMA/federal government during Katrina is sometimes added as a fourth charge
but can be dealt with a single paragraph.)
We first dealt with the Bush Lied People Died claim for it is by far the most egregious lie
inasmuch as there is nothing murky about the law or the facts. That he did not lie has been
proved in several ways, all public. Nothing is left to nuance except as to what might have been in
his heart, and we dealt with that little bit of arrogance as well. Moreover, as the first charge in
time, beginning as early as 2003, it actually cast a cloud of incredibility over the subsequent
charges I believe its movers never intended. It really is difficult to take anyone seriously who
starts out with a series of lies that are as bodacious, inane, empty and silly as these, then to
follow them up with the grave whiskered citations of the US Code.
(Why we do take them seriously at another level is that they are funded beyond belief and have
a purpose that is as real and serious as all that silliness in Germany in the early 1930s.
(One of the purposes of GreatAmericanZeroes.com is to point out, in a common sense way,
that you are taking your life in your own hands if you allow liars to repeatedly come out onto the
public stage, continually rehashing old lies or trying out new ones, until they finally get one that
can stick. This warning includes the continued patronage of people or organizations who keep
building the stage and inviting them up to the dais. They are only harmless as long as they
squeal amongst themselves.
(The most rudimentary amount of common sense tells you that when a person is continually
wrong about a thing, or changes his story about a thing, the things he’s talking about are not the
things he is really trying to sell.
(We have passed the time of being able to enjoy the luxury of being nice about this, or in sitting
back and allowing or hoping someone else will fix it. Lying at this level creates a clear and
present danger to your House.)
In researching the time-lines of what Bush said, we found the use of catch phrases (Bush
Lied People Died was not the first, only the most clever, and the one with legs) permeating a
broad base of advocates on the blogosphere, so much so as not to be coincidence.
As we described, there was this constant drumbeat that Bush Lied by hundreds and
hundreds of bloggers, all apparently left handed because they were either picking their noses or
doing something else with their right. But we saw evidence of a giant spoon stirring this pot,
making sure the swill was moving in the same direction and at the same speed, and at the
same consistency. With enough patience we could even tell from time to time when ingredients
were tossed in, in order to elevate the quality of the goop, thus making it palatable to more
discerning appetites, bringing into the fold groups as disparate as the Ladies Thursday
Afternoon Coffee Taster in Corona Heights and elements of the law faculty at the University of
Virginia.
They may not believe in God, but they certainly are being moved by an invisible hand.
Here it gets murky, for as in all political realms there are the duly constituted authorities and
those who would either like to replace them or serve as hidden advisors behind their throne(s).
We see at least two levels, and several organized cells, but not necessarily in concert with one
another. Found in universities, law schools, a few well-funded think tanks and internet
centerpieces such as Daily Kos, their goal is a political action that goes beyond the mere
beating of drums in 2/4 time.
The role of the press is equally murky. As we see it, its role in these sorts of faux-bottom
based conspiracy charges, is to simply report without criticism or comment what they do or say,
thus giving a longer life and sort of credibility. In media-speak that is the equivalent of not telling
a lie, allowing deniability amongst the media's own throne-sitters.
The ultimate ambition of both is to become unseen movers of Congress, who, these people
see, to be the ultimate decision makers in America…at least until a judge can be impaneled to
replace even them. We believe this is the ultimate end-game, and it is class-based, namely to
take law-making powers away from the constitutional law-makers (pedestrians all) in all but the
most symbolic of ways, turning that power over to a steadier and wiser judiciary and legal class.
(Stan Chesney said as much in the 1990s.)
(We have not mentioned the 9/11 conspiracy theorists who began their cant as early as late
2001, as they represent a Gordian pathology we’re unable to cut through. But there is linkage,
although it's almost impossible to take names without hundreds of man hours being expended.
As world opinion about Bush and the Jews being the real source of 9/11grows, don't expect this
viewpoint to go away peaceably.)
Our job is to expose lies and liars, which, with the Bush impeachment charges, are so
redundant as to seem very boring for the reader...unless you’re the sole Diogenes living in
Detroit, or are just embarrassed to death to be seen in public in Takoma Park, Maryland. We
think there is a long term benefit.
The short term purpose of the Impeach Bush movement seems to have been designed to
build an extra layer of backbone in Congress should the Dem’s regain both chambers in 2006,
which they did. John Conyers even promised an impeachment investigation, then held
back.
The Impeachment movement continued with new resolutions through 2007 even though
Speaker Pelosi demurred on moving forward, which has caused her considerable discomfort,
especially in the Bay area. (Strategically it was more important to impeach Bush while in office
since it was so much more easy to stack the jury in Congress…there is no appeal…than to wait
until 2009 and then bring charges of War Crimes in whatever world court will be willing to take
jurisdiction. There Bush, Cheney, et all will have access to the same rights as any other
criminal, which many believe they surely don’t deserve..or had you forgotten why Hillary Rodham
was fired from the Watergate legal staff? The last thing their Bush chargers and charges want is
to have their claims illuminated until the bright light of fact and truth.)
We believe that a President Obama along with a filibuster-proof Congress may bring about
such a case somewhere, perhaps the Hague. This will allow Congress to throw the whole
issue over to an international body, and wash their hands in the matter, much like they did when
they handed the Cambodian people over to Pol Pot. He who wins writes the history.
This however will not settle the main contest between merely left Congress and the radical
dark leaders of the nether political world as to who really runs things in Washington. We believe
Obama, as the proxy for the dark side, and will cast the deciding vote in its favor.
The impeach Bush movement is but a first try. We highlight it because it is in our mandate to
do so, (we hang liars, not conspirators) But it’s also our mandate to point out the utter cupidity
and stupidity of the marionettes that call themselves city councils, state party members and
legislators, serving in official capacities elected by the people. At least for awhile the people may
be able to do something about them.
Only a few of them are true believers. Most are just mindless cattle following the herd. But it
